This month: Nineteen Eighty-Four
Orwell's 1949 vision of surveillance, language, and power has never stopped feeling current. We''ll read it as an argument, a proposal of sorts about truth, freedom, and the language we are "permitted" to use.
No prior reading group experience is needed. Come having read what you can. Come having read nothing at all and just listen and partake in the wider conversation and implications. Anyone and everyone is welcome (just be prepared for spoilers).
